Dr. Muhamad Hariz Bin Muhamad Adnan is a dedicated educator at the Faculty of Computing and Meta-Technology, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). With a PhD in Information Technology from Universiti Teknologi Petronas and over a decade of academic experience, he brings deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Data Science, and Digital Transformation to the classroom. As the Acting Deputy Dean, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the faculty's academic direction and curriculum design.
His teaching philosophy centres on bridging the gap between academic theory and industry practice. Dr. Hariz integrates hands-on projects, gamification, and AI-powered tools into his courses to create engaging, student-centred learning experiences. His innovative approaches have been recognised with the Anugerah Inovasi PdP (Immersive Virtual Learning Innovation) and the Anugerah Ahli Akademik Harapan from UPSI, as well as the MDEC Top Trainer award nationally.
Beyond university lectures, Dr. Hariz actively conducts professional training and consultation programmes for government agencies, polytechnics, corporations, and community groups across Malaysia and internationally. His teaching portfolio spans formal undergraduate and postgraduate courses, professional certification programmes, and community upskilling workshops—reflecting his commitment to making technology education accessible to all.
